How River Meadow Woodwork collects, uses and protects the information you send through this website.

River Meadow Woodwork is a one-person finish carpentry business in Calgary, Alberta. This page explains what I collect when you use this website or contact me, why, who else handles it, and how to reach me about it. I follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What I collect
Estimate request form
- First name (last name is optional)
- Phone number
- Email address (optional)
- City or town where the work is
- Type of project and type of property
- Timeline and project details (both optional)
Contact form
- First name (last name is optional)
- Phone number
- Email address (optional)
- Your message
Photos, texts, emails and calls
The forms do not take photos. If you text, email or call me, I receive your number or address and anything you send, the same as any phone or email conversation.
Technical information
Like every website, the hosting service records basic visit details (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How I use it
- To reply to you and give you an estimate
- To plan, schedule and carry out the work you ask for
- To keep the records a business has to keep, such as invoices
I do not sell, rent or trade your information, and I do not add you to a mailing list.
Services that handle your information
Two kinds of outside service handle information for this website:
- A form service receives what you type in a form and emails it to me.
- A hosting service runs this website and keeps the visit details described above.
These services may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessed by authorities under the laws of that country. For written information about how they handle it, or to ask questions, contact me using the details below.
Links to Google (for reviews) and to Facebook or Instagram take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as I need it to reply, do the work and meet tax and business record rules. After that I delete it.
How I protect it
Form messages arrive in a password-protected business email account, and the site is served over a secure connection. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you send.
Your choices
You can ask me to:
- Show you the personal information I have about you
- Correct it
- Delete it, or stop using it, where the law allows
